The overall goal of AWAD is to stimulate bilateral and multilateral cooperation in the field of the preservation and study of the mutual heritage formed during centuries of interaction between the Dutch and the peoples of Africa and the Americas.
The project will mainly focus on the countries where a significant Dutch presence was established:
- Aruba
- Brazil
- Ghana
- Guyana
- Netherlands Antilles
- Suriname
- United States of America
In this section every partner country has a webpage and will be able to add relevant information to this website regarding the tangible and intangible heritage, as well as general data on the cultural heritage such as news and agenda.
