Visit of architect Maria Angelica da Silva from Brazil, 5 - 9 September - International visitors programme

In the framework of the International Visitors Programme of the Netherlands Institute for Heritage, Maria Angelica da Silva, professor at the UFAL in Maceió, will be visiting the Netherlands next week (5 to 9 September). She will meet experts on the history of architecture, urbanism and cultural landscape and visit important cultural institutions like the National Archives. Aim of her visit is to expand her network and to look for possible cooperation between Dutch Universities and the Federal University of Alagoas where she coordinates the research group on architecture, urbanism and landscape. In the last years this group has produced interesting studies on these aspects in Alagoas during the colonial period, with a particular regard to the Dutch legacy in the 17th century.
