Postcolonial Netherlands, KNAW, 1 December 2009 - book presentation

On December 1st the publication 'Postkoloniaal Nederland. Vijfenzestig jaar vergeten, herdenken, verdringen' will be presented at KNAW in Amsterdam. Author of the book is Gert Oostindie. This book (in Dutch) is the temporary closure of the research project 'Bringing history home: Postcolonial identity politics in the Netherlands'. This five-year research project, made possible by NWO and KNAW, was carried out by three KNAW institutions: the Meertens Institute, the International Institute of Social history(IISG) and the Royal Netherlands Institute of Southeast Asian and Caribbean Studies(KITLV).
